- Deduct items allowed before tax: NSSF KSh 2,160.00, SHIF KSh 990.00, Housing Levy KSh 540.00.
- Taxable pay = KSh 32,310.00.
- Apply the PAYE bands:
- 10% on KSh 24,000.00 = KSh 2,400.00
- 25% on KSh 8,310.00 = KSh 2,077.50
- Subtract personal relief (KSh 2,400.00) โ PAYE = KSh 2,077.50.
- Net salary = gross โ PAYE โ SHIF โ NSSF โ Housing Levy = KSh 30,232.50.
