- Deduct items allowed before tax: NSSF KSh 600.00, SHIF KSh 300.00, Housing Levy KSh 150.00.
- Taxable pay = KSh 8,950.00.
- Apply the PAYE bands:
- 10% on KSh 8,950.00 = KSh 895.00
- Subtract personal relief (KSh 895.00) โ PAYE = KSh 0.00.
- Net salary = gross โ PAYE โ SHIF โ NSSF โ Housing Levy = KSh 8,950.00.
